The History or Story Behind Rick Frank

Ok Ok Ok !!!!!!        ALREADY!!!!!!                Gary and everyone has been on my A_ _ every since he did this site, to do my profile so here it is. First off I started out in the music industry as a DJ at wbml (yes the gospel) version of this station. After working there for a few months my brother Garrey (not the same Gary as above) who was running sound for Larry G. Hudson, talked me into coming to work at Banannas Nite Club as the DJ/Lightman. Well needless to say after seeing the benifits of being in the music field I jumped feet first into trying to get Larry to let me sing. This is hard for me to admit but I really Sucked the first time I sang. However after a few years of self teaching I got fairly good. In 1980 I joined my first band and ya'll have been stuck with me every since. In the late 80's I started to sing to prerecorded tapes (which I inherited from Garrey after he lost his life in texas) and again the first few times I did it, I sucked all over again because it was so much different than singing with a band. The main Thing I liked about it was that I was able to sing any type of song I was capable doing. This enabled me to keep as busy I wanted to. I have been doing music non stop since then. I held one gig for about 7 years , four nights every week and damn they must have been tired of me at the end but I met most of the good friends that I have now at that little club called "Mollies Lounge" and boy did we pack-em in there. Sometimes 300 people a night. After that I moved around all over middle Georgia and have sang at just about every club you can think of. Also during the time with my band and my prerecored music I have had the pleasure of having the likes of Jaimo / Chris Hicks / Big Mike / Jason / Dawn (shh don't tell jason but I think you're a knockout) / Shelia Brown (my best music buddy ever) / Larry Hudson /and too many more to remember at my age. I have also had the pleasure of meeting each and everyone of you people that come out and still listen to me sing and of course to all the great talent that middle Georgia has to offer. That means all of ya'll karaoke singers. So thank you one and all for all the great times and memories. Always loving all of you. Hopefully your friend for life.
